Well, it has been a crazy month. I was called to the Relief Society Presidency as the second counselor. So, I have been a little occupied. It has been a real blessing to get to know all the sisters in our ward. In many ways it feels like a new ward. Even though I have been in the Town Center Ward for 12 years. Dean is doing great. Busy working hard. He has started cycling. He loves it when I call it "bike riding". He got a fancy bike, and is ridding away. Since the knee surgery the doc said NO running..so he found a new hobby. Bekah, is a fabulous senior and enjoying her year so far. I will post lots of pictures tomorrow. SJ is playing fall baseball. Luke loving, well Luke is Luke. Ellie, is in Art Club and couldn't be happier right now. And the baby...so cute..so fat and yummy. More details later.

Rain, Rain
It rained and rained for two days. Here's how low the clouds were today. Crazy. We used a umbrella today which only happens once or twice a year. Baseball canceled, but our school for some reason saw fit to continue with the school picnic tonight. I guess the fundraiser was more important than the health of the students?? Go figure. Dean and SJ went to spin class at the gym tonight. Dean looks beat, SJ looks like he worked out but not so bad. Proud of the boys, trying to get into shape!! Got work!

School Grind!
Well, it has been two full weeks of school and it's back to the grind. It feels like riding a bike you never forget. Laying in bed last night I was thinking of all the things I have had to do since school started. Here are a few:
50 sack lunches, 14 homemade dinners, I've changed approximately 150 diapers, (okay, 1 big slurpie for me which I hid in the van to drink so I wouldn't have to share!!) a'ced 2 spelling test, and one vocabulary test, 3 worksheets on the Conquistadors, bandaged 1 scraped knee, medicated 1 infected ear, tried for the life of me to remember how to convert fractions (math and me don't mix), pulled 2 splinters, made 10 after-school snacks, ect, ect, ect. It has been a really fun week. It has been crazy busy but we have really loved every second of it. There is truly nothing like being at home with the children full-time. It is hard to believe Bekah is a Senior. She is loving it and having such a great experience. She has continued to work at her job at LifeTime Fitness. I couldn't be prouder. She took her first Algebra II test today!! Stressful, math doesn't come easy to her either. She will be blessed for her efforts, I know it. She loves her Seminary Teacher, Ginger Ewell. Well, baby is crying time to stop today!
Much Love.

All about AMERICA

FHE- (family home evening)
held every Monday night in the Bennett home. Dean and I switch off teaching every other Monday. If there is a 5th Monday, the kids teach it. So, my two Mondays will cover, the Proclamation to the Family, and the other will be Building Testimonies. Dean has chosen to teach one Monday about the Founding Fathers, and the other he will take object from his Missionary trunk and teach lessons from his time as a missionary. This is our plan for the school year. Dean's lesson last night was marvelous. Did you know that 90% of Americans have never read the Declaration of Independence?? The Bennett's are now in the 10% group. The kids were really fascinated to understand that our founders believed in God and patterned our country on their Christian beliefs. God Bless America!
First Cougar game of the Season!
Go Cougars! Game day flag was flying in front of the house!. We had our annual game day party! The Earls, and the Ostlers, and mom were all present. Fried Chicken, and potato salad, and Texas sheet cake all lovingly made by mom and I to serve the crowd. We had a blast. The game was great. The Cougars beat Ole' Miss 14 to 13. It was a neat day with family and friends. Another Bennett tradition survived. I love our traditions, and the kids now understanding them and expect them to happen and look forward to them. The house was full of Cougar fans cheering on..17 cougar fans to be exact! Super Fun!!!!!
Blessing Day!
Sunday was a great day. We finally Blessed our sweet Jacob Dean. Three months is generally a little old to bless a baby, but we had a lot gong on this summer and I wanted all his siblings and grandma's there. Dean's blessing was beautiful. It really was. I put the blessing in Jake's baby book so he can read it later. Bishop Randall, Cory Rath, Steve Gurlides, Bryce Earl, Spencer Horn, and Sam Ingersoll all stood in the circle. It was a special day. Melba was there also, as well as my mom. I bore my testimony and expressed my love for my family and my Father in Heaven. We are blessed to have Jake in our lives. My grammy told me that Jake would bring so much JOY to my life I wouldn't be able to contain it....she is right! I can't!!!
